MOS Low-side Switch

Description

The MOS Switch is used to receive On-Off signals of Rotary On-Off Subsea Switch and M8 Subsea Switch to open and close load circuits. It can be used as a high-power power switch.
The board is equipped with a one-time fuse mounting seat, which can be changed according to different load currents.
The on-off of the indicator on the board corresponds to the closed or disconnected state of the relay.

Precautions for use
● Do not exceed the rated range when using. Otherwise, it will cause abnormal heating, smoke and fire, so it should be absolutely avoided.
● Do not touch the circuit board during the power-on of the switch to avoid the risk of electric shock. Install and troubleshoot the circuit board (including wiring terminals) when the power supply is cut off.
● For terminal connection, please make correct connection on the basis of confirming the wiring diagram. If the connection is wrong, it may cause unexpected misoperation, abnormal heating, fire and other conditions.

FAQ

● What material is the shell made of?
The shell is a 3D printing process of FDM, and the consumables are PLA or PLA-CF.
● What kinds of switches can be connected?
Self-locking switch, such as Rotary On-Off Subsea Switch. The rated switch current is greater than 2mA.
● What's the difference with Push Button Relay
The MOSFET switch is a semiconductor switch. Compared with mechanical relays, the contacts are not mechanically opened and closed, and the contacts will not be wastage by switching as with contact relays. Can achieve low on-resistance, high switching capacity.
● How to choose a fuse?
Fuse models: MINI® Blade Fuses & MIDI® Bolt-Down. Fuses with different parameters can be replaced according to the load current.
● The load is too high, or the load is damaged and short-circuited, causing the fuse protection to be blown, will the MOS switch board be broken?
A blown fuse caused by overcurrent will not cause damage to the MOS switch board. Replace the fuse after confirming that the load is not short circuited.
● Can its input end be directly inserted into the battery? When directly inserted into the power supply or high rate battery, will it spark and damage the plug?
The battery can be connected directly. A spark may occur at the connected input end. It will not damage the plug.
● Can the output and input ends be plugged and unplugged with power on? If the switch doesn't turn on, can I plug it in?
The load end cannot be plugged or unplugged with power on. After the power is off, connect the load.
● The load is short-circuited, but the fuse is not disconnected?
If the power supply current is low and less than the fuse break current. The fuse won't blow in this case.
● Fuse burned, no replacement, can be temporarily connected with a wire?
You can temporarily use wire instead.
● Do I need to disconnect both inputs and outputs when changing fuses, or do I just need to turn off the switch?
Ensure that there is no short circuit at the load end before replacing the fuse. The switch should be turned off.
● Do I need to add your own heat sink? Is the working temperature high?
No additional heat sink required. When the load current is large, the surface temperature of the circuit board is high, so as to avoid burns by touching the circuit board.
