The flange used for the SUBLAB Series watertight enclosure is made of aluminum material.
This flange is designed to be mounted at both ends for attaching enclosure end caps or domes. It is exclusively compatible with the SUBLAB series of watertight enclosures.

● Can it still be used if the contact surface of O-ring is accidentally scratched?
No, it cannot be used, as there is a risk of leakage.
● Are they compatible with SUBLAB aluminum tubes and acrylic tubes?
They are compatible with tubes of the same size and can be directly replaced.
● Whether to apply grease to O-rings every time?
Yes, applying lubricating grease has several benefits: it helps remove dust and impurities from O-rings during application, allows O-rings to adhere to the groove for easy assembly, and ensures smooth insertion into tubes. Not applying lubricating grease can make insertion difficult and may cause undesirable deformation of O-rings.
● What is the purpose of the notch on the step?
It is used to insert a tool into the gap for ease of disassembling the flange.
● What are the side threaded holes for?
They correspond to threaded holes on the flange's side and provide additional protection for aluminum tube flanges. Acrylic tubes do not require them. Acrylic tubes can use vacuum accessories to create a slight vacuum inside the watertight enclosure, which prevents the flange from coming off. Alternatively, you can tighten the end caps securely, as it is less likely to come off due to the presence of internal air. The side screws serve as additional protection.
● What should be done if the screw threads become stripped?
Replace the flange. Do not continue to use it, and be cautious not to over-tighten in the future.
● Why can't it be inserted into the tube without O-rings?
Without O-rings, it may tilt during insertion, potentially scratching the inner wall of the tube and affecting the seal.
● What length should the screws be for installing end caps?
Screw length: Do not push the screw to the bottom of the thread after tightening.
