Description

The Z60 underwater thruster features a resin-encapsulated and sealed brushless outrunner motor, with direct-drive propeller via external rotor. It is widely used in underwater equipment such as ROVs, USVs, and diver propulsion vehicles to provide power.
It is equipped with a set of weed guard that can prevent water plants and other debris. The weed guard meets the IP2 finger-blocking protection standard. This thruster exceeds the IP protection standard and has a pressure resistance capacity reaching 300 meters underwater. The duct can also be quickly disassembled for easy replacement of the propellers and cleaning of foreign objects. Besides the 4 installation holes on the duct, there is also a single installation hole at the center that meets the requirements for quick disassembly.
The propeller and duct design has been optimized through extensive simulation and practical testing, undergoing long-term validation in SUBLAB's proprietary underwater thruster test system and Water Pressure Testing Chamber. Every unit undergoes full-power underwater testing during production, and may contain minor water residue.
The cable meets SUBLAB's deep-water Gland Penetrator standard for quick wiring and waterproofing, with dedicated M8 or M10 no-gapring quick gland penetrator also available.

* Thrust parameters are actual test data from SUBLAB's proprietary test bench. Variations may occur across different test environments due to multiple factors. Due to downward measurement bias in our test platform, data obtained from other test systems may generally be better than that in this table. Note: When used with the weed guard, power consumption increases while thrust decreases slightly.

If you need to pre-install the gland penetrator, please contact the customer service and provide the length requirements. The pre-installed M8 or M10 gland penetrators come with a dedicated sleeve ring and compress plug built-in, which are made of orange plastic and have a water pressure resistance of 300 meters. Note that there may be a few days of production time for the pre-installed gland penetrators.
Guides
FAQ
● Why are there CW/CCW propellers?
The CW and CCW propellers are in a mirror image relationship and are generally used to balance the harmful rotational torque generated by the motor rotation. For example, if all propellers rotate clockwise during forward thrust, they would generate a counterclockwise reactive force on the device.
● Can the front cap be removed?
The front cap is non-removable.
● What does the "vent" mark on the propeller blade mean?
VENT is the water inlet and outlet for the cooling of the motor stator. For the blades of Z60, only 2 screws are needed for installation. The remaining two VENT openings should be left empty for water cooling.
● Will foreign object insertion or forced blockage cause permanent damage?
Yes. Severe blockage may permanently damage the ESC or motor through burnout.
● Is it suitable for sandy underwater environments?
It has some sand resistance, but fine abrasive particles may still cause wear. After use in sandy conditions, immediately rinse rotating parts with fresh water to prevent further friction damage.
● Can it be used in both saltwater and freshwater?
Yes, after using in saltwater, it should be immediately rinsed with fresh water to avoid corrosion.
● What is the service life?
Laboratory freshwater testing demonstrates 200+ hours of continuous operation. Actual lifespan varies significantly based on operating environment and usage patterns.
● Can it operate in air?
Sure. There is no limit to the continuous rotation time in the air.
