Description
The tubes used for the SUBLAB Series watertight enclosure are made of clear acrylic material and are available in various lengths.
It is not recommended to cut ordinary acrylic tube directly as a watertight enclosure, because its manufacturing process can not control the size and roundness of the inner diameter, resulting in the existence of large tolerances and out of round. Moreover, in too loose with the flange can not guarantee the sealing performance, too tight is prone to cracking. The inner diameter of both ends of this SUBLAB acrylic tube of the watertight enclosure have been precision machined and surface treatment, accurate size and smooth surface to ensure the correct sealing and service life, with the introduction of chamfering, assembly will not scratch the O-ring and can be easily introduced.

* Pressure-resistant depth retains a margin of safety, but should be less than 300 hours in the vicinity of the rated depth. For long-term use at the rated depth, it is advisable to use SUBLAB's enclosure aluminum tubes. The rated depth data refers to the pressure-resistant depth without vacuum evacuation.
SPECIAL NOTE: Acrylic products should not come into contact with alcohol, do not touch any kind of alcohol or alcohol derivatives or the acrylic tube will break and fail! Do not clean any acrylic with alcohol either! Use only water or acrylic safe cleaners. Alcohol, solvents and harsh cleaners will crack and damage the material! Most threadlockers are chemically incompatible with plastics and will also damage acrylic!

FAQ
● Why should it be less than 300 hours, and what are the implications?
Exceeding 300 hours of use at the rated depth for acrylic tubes can result in material creep and a risk of leakage.
● Why are there steps machined at both ends?
Conventional acrylic tubes do not meet the sealing requirements in terms of inner diameter precision and roundness. After precision machining, the contact surfaces of the sealing rings have smooth surfaces and meet the standard roundness, ensuring reliable sealing.
● Can it still be used if the contact surface of O-ring is accidentally scratched?
No, it cannot be used, as there is a risk of leakage.
● Can custom lengths be requested?
Yes, custom lengths are available for an additional fee, and there may be a certain production time. Longer lengths may have a lower pressure resistance depth.
● Are there any other internal and external diameter sizes available?
Yes, various other sizes are currently in the design and production process.
● Are they compatible with SUBLAB aluminum tubes?
Yes, they are compatible and can be directly replaced. Note that the internal space dimensions are slightly different.
● Why not use PC (polycarbonate) material?
Acrylic tubes have been various tested and found to be superior to PC tubes in terms of overall performance under certain circumstances.
● Why aren't there holes on the sides to secure the flange?
The flange will not come off if a slight vacuum is applied to the watertight enclosure using the vacuum plug kit. Alternatively, you can tighten the end cap last, so that the flange does not come off easily due to the presence of air inside. The side screws are additional protection.
