Enclosure Vent

Description

The enclosure vent is used to establish air communication between the inside and outside of a watertight enclosure. In instances where a watertight enclosure requires vacuuming to achieve negative pressure or when the difference in internal and external air pressure makes it difficult to remove flanges after watertight enclosure closure, the pre-installed enclosure vent serves its purpose. By removing the plug of the enclosure vent, internal and external air can communicate, facilitating the removal of flanges. The enclosure vent's plug is designed with an internal hexagon for easy disassembly, and once screwed on, it can withstand water pressure of up to 1000 meters. Additionally, there is a stainless steel mesh inside to prevent fine impurities from entering.
The wrench socket of the bulkhead does not extend to the bottom. The retained circular step serves to protect the hatch cover, averting potential scratches during wrenching procedures.

Guides

FAQ

● Does the plug need to be tightened very tightly?
No, it's not necessary. Just tighten it until it's flush with the top. The tightness doesn't affect the sealing effect, and overtightening can make it harder to remove.
● Under what circumstances is it needed?
It's recommended to have one for any watertight enclosure to facilitate ventilation and disassembly between the inside and outside.
● When removing the plug, will the enclosure vent loosen and come off?
It's possible. It's suggested to use threadlocker on the bulkhead and nut, but please avoid applying threadlocker to the plug.
● Is it necessary to apply lubricating grease every time the plug is removed?
It's recommended to apply lubricating grease each time. This process allows for checking if the sealing ring is worn and lubricating grease makes the installation smoother.
